Challenge

Our goal was to create awareness about: different sexualities and gender identities - a topic that was either a taboo or did not interest most people. As an organisation we believe in the need to create safe spaces for the marginalised and have these conversations.

We started with planning a conclave: Queering the Pitch – where we invited industry experts and thought leaders to share experiences and create positive role models for people. Along with team KSF we planned sensitization sessions for different corporations and media houses to educate the masses and negate the possibility of unconscious bias.

Goal

We did some intense market research, drafted the brand message, and created a stellar pitch to showcase their identity.

We promoted the various initiatives of the foundation through rightful media channels. Most of their initiatives such as mental health counselling, trans scholarships, creating equal opportunities for work were written about enabling the right people to reach out to them and also helped eradicate the stigma around these conversations. 

Result

More and more marginalised folks are reaching out to KSF for support or collaborating to take the messaging forward.

After six years of working tirelessly, Keshav Suri Foundation, has been established as the voice to bring the marginalised communities to the forefront of Indian society and to enable them to live a life of dignity and respect, the same which is afforded to the mainstream communities.
